Dr. Richard Brody


Dr. Richard G. Brody is the Douglas Minge Brown Professor of Accounting at the University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Management, where he also serves as a Daniels Fund Business Ethics Fellow. He earned his Ph.D. from Arizona State University, an M.S. from Colorado State University, and a B.S. from the University of Delaware. Dr. Brody's professional experience includes roles as a staff auditor for Deloitte Haskins + Sells, cost analyst for Hewlett Packard, and senior financial reporting analyst for Tandem Computers. He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA). His research focuses on forensic accounting, auditing, and corporate governance, with over 90 refereed publications and more than 130 presentations at national and international conferences. In 2012, Dr. Brody was honored as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Educator of the Year. He has also served as an expert witness in both civil and criminal cases, collaborating with agencies such as the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Justice.
